About Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering

The Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of Hacettepe University has been founded in 1974 and the first engineers have graduated in 1978. The Department admits undergraduate students via the OSYM system and currently has 663 undergraduate and 475 graduate students.Main research areas in the department are Communication Systems, Digital Signal Processing, Electromagnetics and Microwave Techniques, Control Systems, Computers and Computer Networks, Microelectronics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Machines and Power Systems.Within the first three years, undergraduate students take various courses to gain certain skills and the theoretical background in all essential areas of electrical and electronics engineering. In their senior year, they have the opportunity to specialize in the above subjects by electing the appropriate courses.The language of instruction in the Department is English. Students who fail in the English proficiency test are required to attend a prep school before being admitted to the Department.
