About Master of English Language Education

Application conditions of graduate programs are determined according to Regulations of Hacettepe University Post-graduate Education and instructions of each division. Graduates of English Language Teaching or those having an equivalent diploma (English Language and Literature, English Linguistics, Translation-Interpreting) are accepted to the graduate program in English Language teaching. Those applying to the program are required to have at least %60 of undergraduate grade point average.

To graduate from English Language teaching graduate program, students are required to take graduate courses of 24 credits and defend their theses successfully in front of the jury members.
The master's degree programme requires courses of no less than 24 credits in total, including special studies courses and a master's thesis. According to European Credit Transfer System, it consists of courses of no less than 60 credits in total and special studies courses of no less than 60 credits for thesis studies. The students who do not drop under 2.75 GPA in four semesters at most can go on with their thesis studies. The ones who have finished their thesis studies defend their research and the successful ones will have met the requirements of master's degree in English Language teaching.
