Additional to meeting the requirements of the Institute of Health Sciences, dietitians, medical doctors, pharmacists, nurses, chemists, food engineers, biologists and the ones that are approved by the department?s academic council can apply.
To meet the application requirements of Hacettepe University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations and Institute of Health Sciences.

The training program of Master of Science degree is arranged by the supervisor depending on the teaching program of supervisor or the situation of students. It is essential to take obligatory courses primarily. Students should have courses with minimum 21 credits (60 AKTS) in addition to thesis (60 ECTS). The courses Advanced Nutrition 1 and 2 (BES 603 and BES 604) should be taken by all students. Altogether 21 credits (60 ECTS) should be taken during the course period and the weighed mean of grade point average should be minimum 65 out of 100. After completing the course period of the degree successfully, students submit a research profile. The courses and thesis should add up to 120 ECTS. Students who complete the research period satisfactorily and pass the viva exam successfully have the right of graduation. Examinations, evaluations and marking are regulated according to the Hacettepe University Institute of Health Sciences, Higher Degree Education and Examination Guide. The detailed quantification and evaluation procedures are described in Course Description section. There is a scientific preparation for 2 periods for students that qualify the program and are from other departments besides Nutrition and Dietetics. After completing the scientific preparation, the program continues the same.
The must courses should be taken first for graduation. BES 603 and BES 604 (Advanced Nutrition I and II) courses in the Nutrition Sciences Program are must courses to be taken for all programmes (Nutritional Sciences, Dietetics, Food Service Systems, Community Nutrition master programmes). For graduation, it is required to take at least 21 credits (60 ECTS equivalent) courses from the graduate programmes and successfully complete all of them, in addition to the courses, to prepare a thesis (60 ECTS) in their own field, and to obtain at least 65 out of 100 GPA. At least 120 ECTS in total must be taken in the master's programme together with the courses and thesis.
