About Master of Social Work
3. Applicants are required to score at least 60 in the Foreign Knowledge in Foreign Language Placement Examination (Yabancı Dil Seviye Tespit Sınavı, YDS). Alternatively, applicants are required to submit an equivalent score from other foreign language examinations, held at the national or international level, whose equivalence is approved by ÖSYM.
5. Graduate students with an undergraduate degree other than social work are given scientific preparation courses by the decision of the jury.
1. Students obtain masters degree by taking 24 compulsory credits (16 domestic - 104 ECTS credits) and elective (8 domestic - 16 ECTS credits), completing theoretical courses and trainings and successfully carrying out a master's thesis under an academic supervisor.
The students who complete totally 24 credit hours by taking requisite and elective courses offered by the program and by doing practice, and also who prepare master's thesis under the supervision of a supervisor and are successful at the thesis oral exam, are eligible to get master of social work diploma.
