Main Requirements for the Comprehensive Exam
In order to graduate from the Pharmacology PhD program, students must complete a total of 240 ECTS credits. After completing 90 ECTS credits of this program by the compulsory and elective courses stipulated by the program, the student is entitled to take the doctorate proficiency exam. The preparation period for the proficiency exam covers theoretical and laboratory work corresponding to 30 ECTS credits. Students who are successful in the proficiency exam do thesis work for 4 semesters. The thesis study period corresponds to a total of 120 ECTS credits. Students who complete the thesis work publish it in accordance with the spelling rules of the Institute of Health Sciences and give the thesis defense exam. In order for the student to earn his Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology, he must fulfill the requirements of Hacettepe University Postgraduate Education - Teaching and Exam Regulations, successfully complete the thesis defense exam and provide at least 3.00 / 4.00 general academic average grade.
