The program provided a total of not less than 21 credit hours to be required and elective courses and thesis work. Determining the success of the student's courses and a thesis, Hacettepe University, Graduate Education and Examination Regulations apply.
The education period of the Doctorate Program is eight semesters. Program; It consists of compulsory and elective courses and a qualifying exam, thesis proposal, thesis presentation and thesis defense. In order for the student to be successful in the relevant course, the grade received from the courses must be at least 75 out of 100. In addition, the advisor and the relevant institute can be selected from the courses offered in other higher education institutions with the recommendation of the head of the department and the approval of the Institute Board of Directors. Students who successfully complete their courses are taken to the proficiency exam. If he is successful in this exam, he presents his thesis proposal before the jury. The student verbally presents the progress and results of his thesis to the thesis monitoring committee for six months. The student has to write the results obtained regarding the thesis in accordance with the thesis writing rules of the relevant institute and defend the thesis verbally in front of the jury. After the completion of the thesis exam, the jury decides on the thesis by absolute majority, acceptance, rejection or correction. The student whose thesis is decided to be corrected defends his thesis again in front of the same jury within three months at the latest.
