Hacettepe University offers the PhD of Speech and Language Therapy as a full-time degree delivered on campus at its main campus in Istanbul, Turkey. Taught in English, the program equips students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills required for speech and language therapy and related professional fields. About PhD in Speech and Language Therapy

For registration to Speech and Language Therapy Ph.D. programme, candidates are supposed to be graduated from graduate programs of either Speech and Language Therapy or Audiology and Speech Disorders and Educational Audiology. Being graduated from a field-related department will be accepted by Academic Council as well.

For graduation from Speech and Language Therapy Ph.D. programme, all students must complete at least 240 ECTS successfully: at least 21 credit and 7 courses (at least 90 ECTS except for proficiency exam courses) with one seminar course, thesis proposal and thesis study. Or equivalent education in abroad is required.
???????Following the completion of theoretical and practical courses in the first two years, the student must be successful in the doctoral qualifying exam. Students who are successful in the proficiency exam are taken to the thesis defense exam at the end of the fourth year by performing a thesis study. 21 credits (240 ECTS credits) must be completed for graduation In addition, the necessary conditions for graduation will be applied in the Hacettepe University Graduate Education and Examination Regulation on the website of the Institute of Health Sciences.
