ORAL AND DENTAL HEALTH PROGRAMME
Developing education and cultural level of community and “Dentistry Clinical Asistants†who will prepare the needed environment for dentists all clinical studies in dentist exam rooms, in public dental clinics or personal dentist clinics, which will help during the patients treatment, besides who will take responsibility in patience admission, also increase the consciousness of being healthy. In this sense, oral and dental health is an important developing field. It is hard for the dentist to run the clinic ideally alone in developing dentistry business in our age. Thats why dentist assistant is really important. In the past, these assistants continued their apprenticeship period without having any training. In order to run a dentistry clinic properly, to hire staff who are scientifically equipped and have the required education and skill level. During the two year associate program, students are educated by specialized lecturers of dentistry faculty and they get the required information, skills and equipment to profess by the most reliable source. Education process will be a period which contains both theoretical and practical applications. Students training application and internship at work will be done within the frame of basis and procedures that council of Higher Education has indicated. Gradutes form Oral and Dental Health Program are given “Oral and Dental Health Associate†diploma and “Health Technician (Oral and Dental Health†title.
