Mission

By using basic science, it is to train competent people who design patient-specific orthosis-prosthesis, use new materials and technologies and play an active role in their development.

Those who complete the program are awarded the Associate Degree diploma and the title of Health Technician in orthopedic prosthesis-orthosis.

Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics Technician is the person working in the construction of orthoses applied to body parts that need to be functionally supported, protected and corrected in case of limb loss such as hands, arms, legs, artificial limbs (prosthesis)He is responsible for taking patient measurements for prosthetic-orthosis construction, manipulating the acquired measurement model and biomechanical settings for the prosthesis or orthosis.

Section Facilities

Students can work under the name of "Health Technician" in state, private and university hospitals with graduates, prosthesis and orthosis workshops. In addition, there are also opportunities for professionals to open their own businesses. As it is a branch that is constantly developing and renewing itself with technological development, the need for personnel in this area is increasing.

Notarization of translated High school diploma and transcript from Notary in Turkey or Turkish Embassy in your country
Health Insurance for one year (compulsory – You will make your insurance paperwork in J Block with International Students and Staff Affairs. Insurance Costs between 400,00 to 600,00 TRL)
Equivalency Paper (Denklik Belgesi) of High school diploma from Provincial Directorate of Ministry of Education in Istanbul (you will be guided properly on this once you will reach Istanbul Aydin University International Office J - Block)
Language Proficiency Certificate
