Mission

The Department of English Language Teaching at Istanbul Aydin University helps prospective English teachers build knowledge of content and methods of language teaching and educational sciences. It also provides many elective courses related with the culture of the target language. We strongly believe that English teachers with critical thinking skills can keep up with technological changes and follow contemporary developments in their fields, which will lead them to be life-long learners who will follow the change and the principles of contemporary education so that these highly qualified teachers will be able to contribute to the solution of the problems of English Language Teaching in our country and actively take part in the education and teaching of this language in the light of modern methods and opinions developed in the field.
