PSYCHOLOGY
The Bachelors Degree Program of Psycholgy Department is a 240 ECTS credits program of 4 years composed of eight semesters, each with a 30 ECTS workload. One ECTS is equal to 25.5 hours of student workload per semester.
Our department aims to provide our students with scientific knowledge and field experience with a multidisciplinary approach in awareness of individual and social responsibilities as well. Psychology science inquires cognitive processes and behaviors of people on both individual and group level. Research areas in psychology include wide-range topics such as central nervous system-behavior relations, development, social-cultural interaction, personality, psychopathology and applying knowledge derived from basic psychological research to various work settings. Thus, the goal of our program is providing our students with necessary knowledge about a wide-range scope of psychological research and basic theoretical approaches within psychology along with an advanced formation on methodology and research techniques. As to meet these goals our program is designed to give the students a scientific outlook, a solid background in psychology and basic research skills that will enable them to pursue further study, or work in a variety of contexts. Throughout our psychology undergraduate program students are offered to take up different classes on various subdivisions of psychology so as to gain a multidisciplinary point of view as well as assisting them on choosing the proper area for their possible further postgraduate research.
Mission

- To provide students an interdisciplinary perspective, and to strength their critical reading, writing, and thinking skills acquired within the field,
- To provide students with the knowledge of different areas of the social sciences and to educate well-equipped and ethical individuals that can be useful to the society.
