About Bachelor of Maritime and Port Management

Purpose of the Maritime and Port Management Program; is to meet the need for skilled workforce, specializing in maritime transport and port facilities in our country, which carries the largest part of international trade with sea routes. The program provides students with both a theoretical and practical training on basic maritime information and port management. It has been producing well-established state-owned ports that have been operating for many years in our country, as well as specialists equipped with new maritime and port information needed by growing private harbors.

Students who have applied for Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree programmes provided in English, are obligated to take the Yasar University English Proficiency Test (FLAT). Exam registration is completed during the matriculation process. Direct entry to first year of the program is achieved with a minimum score of 65/100 in this exam. Students achieving below this score will be required to take a year of English preparation before entering the faculty.

Exemption from the English Preparation Year may also be gained by submitting passing scores in one of the following equivalent English Language Tests:
TOEFL IBT
CAE
CPE
PTE

The Yasar University FLAT Examination is not valid for PhD Candidates. Students who are applying to PhD program must submit one of the exams listed above.

According to the legislation accepted by the State Higher Education Council of Turkish Republic, IELTS is not accepted as a valid examination for English language exemption at all educational degrees.
