About Bachelor of Tourism and Hotel Management

The Tourism and Hotel Management program is designed to give students comprehensive knowledge about tourism industry and tourism establishments. In Tourism and Hotel Management program, the core courses covers topics such as: Introduction to tourism industry, Front Office Operations, Travel Agencies and Tour Operators, Food and Beverage Management, Tourism Diversification, Tourism Geography of Turkey and World and Hotel Accounting. Students who have applied for Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree programmes provided in English, are obligated to take the Yasar University English Proficiency Test (FLAT). Exam registration is completed during the matriculation process. Direct entry to first year of the program is achieved with a minimum score of 65/100 in this exam. Students achieving below this score will be required to take a year of English preparation before entering the faculty.

Exemption from the English Preparation Year may also be gained by submitting passing scores in one of the following equivalent English Language Tests:
TOEFL IBT
CAE
CPE
PTE

The Yasar University FLAT Examination is not valid for PhD Candidates. Students who are applying to PhD program must submit one of the exams listed above.

According to the legislation accepted by the State Higher Education Council of Turkish Republic, IELTS is not accepted as a valid examination for English language exemption at all educational degrees.
