About MSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering (English)

The purpose of the MSc in Electrical and Electronics Engineering programme is to provide students with technical education in the rapidly growing electrical and electronics sector, and give them the opportunity to gain innovative experience and conduct high level research. Students gain a contemporary and professional level of theoretical knowledge through lectures, in addition to developing a high degree of applied practical experience via seminars, laboratory and research work. Students determine their professional fields of interest and take the corresponding elective courses accordingly.

Second Cycle Masters Degree (M.Sc.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is awarded to students who have completed all the courses (120 ECTS including graduation thesis) with at least scored a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of not less than 3.00 / 4.00 and completed the graduation thesis with a successful presentation.

Entry Requirements

Undergraduate diploma (or higher) BSc degree should be obtained one of the below programmes : Electrical and Electronics Engineering etcâ€¦ (Electrical, Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Communication and Control), Biomedical, Bioengineering, Mechatronics, Computer, Software, Energy, Mechanical and other engineering programmes and Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Genetics, Statsitics, Matemathics, Computer Sciences or similar departmentsâ€¦ Min. Graduation Degree should be: 2.30/4.00 Students must obtain one of the following exams: GRE: Min. 151 or GMAT: 465 or ALES: Min. 60 Quantitative The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English / Turkish. Often you can get a suitable transcript from your school. If this is not the case, you will need official translations along with verified copies of the original.

Students who have applied for Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree programmes provided in English, are obligated to take the Yasar University English Proficiency Test (FLAT). Exam registration is completed during the matriculation process. Direct entry to first year of the program is achieved with a minimum score of 65/100 in this exam. Students achieving below this score will be required to take a year of English preparation before entering the faculty.

Exemption from the English Preparation Year may also be gained by submitting passing scores in one of the following equivalent English Language Tests:

CPE
PTE

The Yasar University FLAT Examination is not valid for PhD Candidates. Students who are applying to PhD program must submit one of the exams listed above.

According to the legislation accepted by the State Higher Education Council of Turkish Republic, IELTS is not accepted as a valid examination for English language exemption at all educational degrees.
