We are the largest provider of Further Education (FE) and Apprenticeships in the area. Our core focus is on developing the work skills of our students so that when they leave us, they are ready to start or to progress within their chosen careers.

Through inspiring teaching and learning, we develop our students’ work skills, life skills, and knowledge, and so help to build a thriving local economy and community.

The College has a strategy that sets out our ambitions and plans until 2023.

The plan sets out our vision and explains how we will continue to remain rooted in our community while doing all we can to ensure our students become qualified, find jobs keep them, and progress in their careers.

The Bournemouth & Poole College’s activities are overseen by The Board of the Corporation. It is responsible for agreeing, supporting, and scrutinizing the delivery of The College’s strategy.

The College Board has 14 members and includes senior leaders from the commercial sector and members of the Dorset LEP, as well as representation from the public, voluntary, and education sectors. The Board operates a Policy Governance model which was introduced in 2010-11 and operates strictly in accordance with the Government’s laid down ‘Instrument and Articles of Government’.
