نبذة

Overview This year's classes might be taught online due to COVID-19.The Mechanical Engineering program at UM-SJTU Joint Institute is fully supported by the ME Department of the UM and the ME School of the SJTU.Built upon these strengths is a very strong focus on application of these technical abilities through our design and manufacturing sequence.In addition, an array of technical electives is offered to enable students to tailor their mechanical engineering education to best suit their career goals.Throughout the program students work with modern laboratory equipment and computer systems and they are exposed to the most recent analytical techniques and technological developments in their field. Students have many opportunities to associate with outstanding faculty, most of whom will be actively engaged in research and/or professional consulting.Outcomes Graduates of the Mechanical Engineering program at Shanghai Jiao Tong University should be able to demonstrate: an ability to identify, formulate, and solve complex engineering problems by applying principles of engineering, science, and mathematicsan ability to apply engineering design to produce solutions that meet specified needs with consideration of public health, safety, and welfare, as well as global, cultural, social, environmental, and economic factorsan ability to communicate effectively with a range of audiencesan ability to recognize ethical and professional responsibilities in engineering situations and make informed judgments, which must consider the impact of engineering solutions in global, economic, environmental, and societal contextsan ability to function effectively on a team whose members together provide leadership, create a collaborative and inclusive environment, establish goals, plan tasks, and meet objectives I want to find another Bachelor Course Accreditation It is accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET.

The Mechanical Engineering program at Shanghai Jiao Tong University provides students with an excellent foundation in the core technical competencies of the discipline: thermal and fluid sciences, solid mechanics and materials, and dynamics and control.
