<p>Students in homestay are assigned private rooms in the homes of local families, but they may share a bathroom. Most host families live within a 15-mile radius of the Florida Tech campus and ELS Melbourne, with a commute time between 20 and 30 minutes. Hosts either drive their students or help them take public transportation with the purchase of a reasonable monthly bus pass.</p>

<p>Shared dorm room and shared hallway bathroom. Rooms include two desks, two chairs, two lamps, two beds, mini-fridge, and small microwave. Linens are also included. Self-service laundry machines are available in a nearby dorm for a small fee. Security office is nearby. One resident assistant for each floor or wing—one resident assistant for about every 10 students.</p>
