Our range of General and Intensive Courses offers something for everyone – whether you’re looking for a short refresher course (10 or 20 lessons per week), or a longer, more intensive course (24, 25, or 30 lessons per week), LSI has the program to suit your needs.

All our intensive courses follow the General 20 course (lessons 1–4). In addition during lessons 5–6, there is a range of electives to suit all levels, needs, and interests. Elective lessons are run twice a week on the Intensive 24 and 25, and every day on the Intensive 30 course.

​This course is suitable for students who wish to improve their fluency, vocabulary, and pronunciation in a language. There is an emphasis on language for everyday situations and classes may involve discussing topics such as film and theatre, current events, politics, local culture, and the internet.

LSI New York is located in a beautiful and historic building, designed by the architects who created the iconic Grand Central station. The school is the perfect place to learn English, being only blocks away from the One World Trade Center building in the fashionable district of lower Manhattan. Study an English language course at our amazing school building in the greatest city in the world.

Our language school features state-of-the-art facilities with modern, bright, airy classrooms that offer sweeping views of Battery Park and the Hudson River. Facilities include a computer lab, executive meeting room, free Wi-Fi; and a student lounge where you can relax when not studying for exams. LSI New York is one of the designated ESL programmes for students taking classes at MCNY, which means that students can transfer into MCNY’s undergraduate or graduate degree programmes without providing a TOEFL score so long as they’ve completed LSI’s advanced course. The accelerated design of MCNY’s courses means that students can complete an MBA in as little as one year of study. You must be at least 16 years old to attend LSI New York; please note that 16-17 year olds cannot stay in Homestay accommodation - they must either arrange their own accommodation or stay at the Amsterdam student residence.
