Enjoying miles of golden beaches and some of the best weather in the United States while still having all the bustle and vibrancy of the city, San Diego is the ideal place to learn English in California.Our language school is located in the very heart of San Diego, with restaurants, shops and transport links all nearby. The famous San Diego Zoo, the Symphony Hall and San Diego Bay are all within easy walking distance. We offer TOEFL and Cambridge Examination preparation courses, among our many different English programmes. The school itself is housed in a modern building, and you will benefit from facilities including a computer room with free internet access while you study English.

Our range of General and Intensive Courses offers something for everyone – whether you’re looking for a short refresher course (10 or 20 lessons per week), or a longer, more intensive course (24, 25, or 30 lessons per week), LSI has the program to suit your needs. 

All our intensive courses follow the General 20 course (lessons 1–4). In addition during lessons 5–6, there is a range of electives to suit all levels, needs, and interests. Elective lessons are run twice a week on the Intensive 24 and 25, and every day on the Intensive 30 course. 

​This course is suitable for students who wish to improve their fluency, vocabulary, and pronunciation in a language. There is an emphasis on language for everyday situations and classes may involve discussing topics such as film and theatre, current events, politics, local culture, and the internet.

The Language Studies International (LSI) story began back in 1965 when we opened our first school in Kensington, London. Our global network has since expanded to our current fourteen schools spanning seven countries.
