All our intensive courses follow the General 20 course (lessons 1–4). In addition during lessons 5–6, there is a range of electives to suit all levels, needs, and interests. Elective lessons are run twice a week on the Intensive 24 and 25, and every day on the Intensive 30 course.
This course is suitable for students who wish to improve their fluency, vocabulary, and pronunciation in a language. There is an emphasis on language for everyday situations and classes may involve discussing topics such as film and theatre, current events, politics, local culture, and the internet.

Language Studies International (LSI) - San Francisco
Located just across the bay from San Francisco, the city of Berkeley is a buzzing student town centred around the University of California campus and is an ideal destination for anyone wanting to learn English in California. Berkeley itself is alive with cafes, shops, restaurants and nightlife, and also offers visitors easy access to all the attractions of San Francisco and the rest of the Bay Area.
LSI San Francisco/Berkeley is located in the very centre of Berkeley, close to bus and underground stations and just a few blocks from the University campus in an area full of restaurants, cafes, cinemas and bookstores. Facilities include indoor and outdoor common areas, computer room with free internet access and a student resource library - everything you need to help you develop your skills as you study English in the USA. Our language school is an official TOEIC test centre, so you can take the exam in the school. We also offer TOEFL and Cambridge Examination (CAE & FCE) preparation courses, as well as more general English programmes.
