About General 20 at Language Studies International (LSI) in Auckland
All our intensive courses follow the General 20 course (lessons 1–4). In addition during lessons 5–6, there is a range of electives to suit all levels, needs, and interests. Elective lessons are run twice a week on the Intensive 24 and 25, and every day on the Intensive 30 course.
During the lessons, you rapidly improve your communication skills in a variety of everyday situations. In 2 lessons each day you will cover the following areas: grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation. In the further 2 lessons, you concentrate on: speaking, listening, reading, and writing. You use a textbook in conjunction with a wide variety of materials and exercises including roleplays, authentic materials, newspapers, and magazines.

LSI Auckland is located right in the centre of Auckland, close to cafes, restaurants and transport links. Our language school provides an extremely comfortable environment in which to study English – our bright and airy classrooms overlook the palm trees in Myers Park, and student facilities include wireless internet, a computer room with televisions and DVDs, a prayer room, a small library and a student lounge with a fridge, microwave and hot drinks machine. We teach general ESL programmes, a variety of exam preparation courses (such as TOEFL, TOEIC, IELTS, Cambridge English Language Assessment) as well as specialised courses such as English for Pilots and Nurses.
