Staying in a private home requires a certain amount of adaptability, but it gives you the best opportunity to apply what you have learned immediately. For example, you can consolidate what you have learned in the morning at breakfast or in the evening after your language course and deepen your language skills by talking to your host family. At the same time, you will gain a particularly intensive insight into the lifestyle, traditions, and culture of your host country and the habits of its inhabitants.A wide range of host families, with or without children, as well as single households, are available to our language students. As a rule, you will stay in single or double rooms. Meals depend on your booking or the host family in question, but a full board is usually included for students. However, breakfast or half board is also possible.Sprachcaffe selects host families very carefully. Some of the residential areas in which our families live are therefore a little further away from the city center or the school, so you may have to expect additional costs for public transport. However, the school is easy to reach by bus or tram.

Afternoon classes practise all the language skills: reading and writing, speaking and listening, and develop knowledge of grammar and vocabulary. Students joining these classes are assessed for level and allocated to an appropriate class. An afternoon course is the perfect compromise between learning the language and enjoying your free time. Four daily lessons a week guarantee effective learning, and are convenient for students who work, study or tour their host country during the day.

With the Intensive Course, more emphasis is placed on learning, thus leaving less free time for extra curricular activities. Six daily lessons help you to make effective progress in a much shorter time.

Our super-intensive courses are for both complete beginners and proficient speakers alike, the common denominator is the speed and intensity with which students improve their language skills. 

Super-intensive language courses are the ideal option for those who already have a strong foundation and are fairly competent in the language of choice, but who wish to take their language skills to the next level.Although the super-intensive course is perfect for higher level learners it is equally effective for complete beginners who wish to kick-start their language abilities rapidly. 

These language courses are designed to challenge the learner therefore widening their knowledge of the language in a short time period of time. Super-intensive courses at Sprachcaffe Languages Plus are particularly suitable for university students and the academically minded. 

The courses comprise of 8 lessons per day from Monday to Friday (40 lessons per week). Each lesson lasts 45 minutes meaning you will spend a total of 30 hours per week in language classes. this leaves less time for extra-curricular activities than some of our other language courses.

We carefully monitor your development throughout your course, giving you regular feedback on your progress and help you to achieve the goals you have set for yourself. We do not want you to worry too much. That is why we want to let you know about a few things that can help you get an idea about where to begin your planning: Not every university in the USA and Canada requires you to have a TOEFL or IELTS certificate in order to enroll. Many of our partners accept our level 5 or 6 course completion certificates. This means that you will not need to take a language exam, depending which institution(s) you choose to apply for. It is necessary to take language exams or to have certification of the appropriate language skills in order to enter a university in Europe. If you want to keep your choices open in regards to which university you go for, rest assured that the IELTS, TOEFL, Test DAF or DELE test will give you a greater overall flexibility to pick your favorite from the large range of options.
