    Absence Management

    About

    This module will promote the provision of informed and supportive strategies for effective absence management in the workplace.

    On completion of this module, students are expected to be able to:

    • Appraise key concepts in relation to the management of workplace absence.
    • Evaluate the role of the Occupational Health practitioner in absence management.
    • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of employment legislation, policies and models of human resource management theory relevant to absence management.
    • Critically analyse strategies to support employer/employee in absence management.
    • Appraise interventions to support the assessment of individuals with one or more long-term conditions.

    Learning Methods

    This module is delivered through online methods including online chat, virtual classroom and discussion forums. You will engage with directed and self-directed learning activities supported by the module team.

    Assessment

    This course is assessed through written assignment.

    English Program Requirements

    How to Apply

    • Completing an existing course (for example passing your Bachelors before coming to do a Masters with us). Please upload your degree documents to your Apply Yourself record or email the Admissions Office with these.
    • Proving that your English language is good enough for University-level study. In this case you should send us a copy of your IELTS or TOEFL certificate as soon as it is available. Please upload these documents to your Apply Yourself record or email the Admissions Office with these.
