    Do you have a strong interest in computing? Want to study this subject at university level, but dont currently meet the entry requirements for a degree? Our Access to Higher Education Diploma (Computer Science) is designed to give adult learners an intensive introduction to this field, as well as boosting your study skills to prepare you for higher education. The Access to HE Diploma is a Level 3 qualification equivalent to A-levels. It is designed for individuals who do not have traditional qualifications or a formal educational background, providing the necessary skill set to progress onto study at university and a subsequent career in a relevant field. As well as enhancing your academic skills, our one-year course lets you explore a range of areas in the field of information technology (IT), including programming and mathematics, web design, networking, cyber security, databases and systems. By completing this Access to HE Diploma, you will be able to take your first step towards a wide variety of industry careers, from software engineer or IT technician to website content manager or database developer. You will also be ready to embark on a range of degree-level courses within the computing sector.     English Program Requirements

    To apply for all undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, you will need to sit an approved test in English if it is not your first language. This might include achieving IELTS (Academic or UKVI) of 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band, depending on your course requirements.

    In addition, we accept Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) 72 with minimum band scores of Reading 18, Writing 17, Listening 17, Speaking 20 for Undergraduate (BA, BSc) and most postgraduate degrees.

    If you are applying for the International Foundation Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism, you will need UKVI IELTS of 5.0 with no less than 4.5 in any band.

    IELTS can be taken from the British Council. Please note that the date of your IELTS award must be within two years of your degree/master’s degree start date.

    We also accept the following online tests for entry onto degree-level courses:

    • TOEFL (iBT) Home – minimum scores as above
    • Language Cert - a minimum of 'pass' at B2 level
    • IELTS Indicator - minimum scores as above
