The Capstone module is designed to provide you with an opportunity to integrate master's level knowledge and skills by independently working on a research focused project from a degree related discipline. Personal and professional skills such as research, communication and presentation skills will be developed.

Your personal, professional and research skills will be developed throughout the course thereby enhancing your employment portfolio and setting you apart from other graduates in your field.

On completion of the Capstone module, you will obtain a master's qualification in Accounting and Finance.

Learning Methods

The MSc Accounting and Finance Professional Top Up is an online course taught through CampusMoodle, the university’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) which offers students flexibility of where and when they can study.

CampusMoodle provides you with full open access to tutors and other class members. You will have the benefit of being part of a group of learners with the invaluable opportunity to participate in active, group-related learning within a supportive online community setting.

Feedback

We aim to provide you with feedback within 20 working days of hand-in for all written exams, coursework and practical exams.

Independent Study

The course requires you to become independent 'open learners' and take responsibility for when, where and how your learning occurs. You will spend approximately 15 hours per week working on your own, undertaking prescribed reading, researching and writing the dissertation/business consultancy report. The supervisor will support this work as required.
