So, you want to be an accountant?

Congratulations – you must know that accounting professionals are major players in virtually every aspect of today's economy. 

The bottom line: accounting is the language of business. At Clarkson, we help you become fluent in income and expenses, revenue and debt, assets and liabilities, and the myriad other concepts and practices that are under the accounting umbrella. 

The mission of the David D. Reh School of Business at Clarkson is to prepare the next generation of leaders through programs that span traditional disciplinary boundaries. Designed in partnership with employers and industry leaders, our accounting curriculum is non-traditional, preparing you for success in the growing number of companies that have merged finance and accounting roles. 

These application instructions are for non-U.S. citizens applying for first-year enrollment at Clarkson. If you have already earned some university credit, you should apply as a transfer student. To review your application, we need to receive all of the following materials and information according to Clarkson’s admission dates and deadlines:

• Clarkson University Freshman Application or Common App 
• Official secondary school transcript, mark sheets, or national exam scores.
• Two letters of recommendation.
• Test Optional-Official SAT/ACT scores, if submitted the scores will be taken into consideration during the admissions process.

  • TOEFL, 80
  • IELTS, 6.5
