    The online BSc (Hons) Accounting course at Robert Gordon University is a fast-track 12-month top-up degree for those who already hold the CIMA Diploma in Management Accounting, the ACCA Diploma in Accounting and Business or equivalent professional accounting qualification, and have relevant work experience.

    The fast-track degree is ideal for those who wish to advance their career in accounting. The online course provides a solid grounding in both accounting and academic skills, with study areas including organisational strategy, innovation and enterprise, and you will also complete a dissertation or business consultancy project.

    New for 2022, BSc (Hons) Accounting now includes a fully funded or reduced fee option. If you are a Scottish resident this means you may no longer be liable to pay fees and could qualify to have your fees fully funded by SAAS.     You will study a selection of modules including Organisational Strategy, Innovation and Enterprise and you will also complete an applied academic study dissertation or business consultancy project.     Learning Methods

    The BSc (Hons) Accounting is an online course taught through CampusMoodle, the university’s Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) which offers students flexibility of where and when they can study.

    CampusMoodle offers full open access to tutors and other class members. Students have the benefit of being part of a group of learners with the invaluable opportunity to participate in active, group-related learning within a supportive online community setting. The online campus provides students with lectures and course materials and it also includes:

    Independent Study

    The course requires you to become independent 'open learners' and take responsibility for when, where and how your learning occurs. You will spend approximately 20 hours per week working on your own, undertaking prescribed reading, preparing for group activities and researching and writing course reports.

    Staff Delivering on This Course

    You will benefit from the knowledge and expertise of our teaching staff on the accounting modules who are all chartered accountants, many of whom qualified with a Big Four firm: Deloitte, Ernst & Young, KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers. All have completed a certificate in Higher Education Learning and Teaching.

    Other staff members include industry professionals and staff with Research experience.

    Assessment

    Typically students are assessed:

    • 2 written assessments
    • 1 Capstone project

    We aim to provide you with feedback within 20 working days of hand-in for all written exams, coursework and practical exams.

    English Program Requirements
