    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

    • Complete five Grade 12 courses with a minimum average of 60%:
      • One course must be academic English
      • Three courses must be academic (eg: social studies, language, math, calculus, science, fine arts)
      • The fifth course may be any academic or non-academic Grade 12 course carrying normal weight (eg: physical education)

    English Program Requirements

    All applicants must demonstrate English Language Proficiency, which will enable them to succeed in their university studies.  Proficiency must be demonstrated regardless of citizenship or country of origin.

    Applicants with three years of formal, full-time studies in English at the secondary or post-secondary level in any of the below countries meet English Language Proficiency requirements automatically. If an applicant from one of the below countries cannot provide transcripts demonstrating three years of full-time studies in the country, they must instead submit results from one of the Standardized Exams listed below to meet the English Proficiency requirement for admission.

    2. Pay the Application Fee

    Pay the application fee to complete your application process:

    • $70 Application Fee (non-refundable): applicants residing in Canada or the USA
    • $140 International Application Fee (non-refundable): applicants residing internationally
      • $100 International Reduced Application fee

    3. Submit your documents

    Transcripts

    King’s requires official transcripts from your high school and from any post-secondary institutions you have attended, including Advanced Placement (AP), International Baccalaureate (IB), YWAM, Capernwray, and other similar programs. Interim transcripts may be submitted for an initial admission decision if official transcripts are not yet available.

    King’s will automatically request official transcripts from Alberta high schools and most Alberta post-secondary institutions. For all other schools, you must request that official transcripts be mailed directly to King’s.

    4. Final Steps

    After your application and documents have been received, you should be notified by email within two weeks about your admission decision (four weeks for international applicants).
