    ACCOUNTING Often described as the "language of business," accounting skills are the glue that holds many institutions, firms, and entities together. Composed of three main fields—public, private, and governmental—a major in accounting provides you with a solid knowledge base and the quantitative skills to effectively manage a variety of financial affairs. As a part of the UW-Parkside Business Department and the business program accredited for quality by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB), you'll learn through dynamic courses and transformative internships designed to develop your skill sets.

    Entry Requirements

    In order to graduate with a bachelor’s degree, every degree-seeking student must complete a major with a minimum GPA as specified by the major department or program. Usually, this minimum major GPA is 2.00 on a 4.00 scale, but some majors require a higher GPA. Students with transfer work must also attain the minimum major GPA (2.00) on a combination of transfer credits accepted toward the major and credits attempted toward the major at UW- Parkside. At least 15 credits of upper level (300 or above) major course work must be completed at UW-Parkside. UW-Parkside offers the following majors:

    English Program Requirements

    • Minimum TOEFL score of 71 (internet based)
    • Minimum IELTS score of 6.0  
    • An ACT English subscore of 23 or higher
    • Minimum EIKEN score of 2304
    • Minimum GTEC score of 1140
