Are you interested in a career as an accountant? Or do you see your future in finance? If you want a qualification that will help you take the first step towards higher education and jobs in these sectors, our T-level Accounting Level 3 course provides the ideal starting point for you to build the skills and knowledge required. University College Birmingham is one of the first colleges in the UK to offer the new T-level qualification, which combines learning in the classroom with gaining vital â€˜on-the-job experience. During our two-year accounting course, you will learn about financial accounting principles, data and analytics, ethics and professional conduct, as well as gaining specialist knowledge about the role of an assistant accountant. Equivalent to three A-levels, this accounting T-level course will help you boost your employment prospects by gaining extensive experience on a work placement in a real-world environment, supported by experts in our hired@UCB employability team. By completing this industry-recognised qualification, you could progress onto a range of accounting occupations, as well as apprenticeships or higher education. Aspire to become an accountant? Take the first step towards your future on our accounting T-level course, a nationally-recognised qualification equivalent to three A-levels, providing you with core skills and knowledge alongside practical work experience in the sector.

Entry Requirements

Applicants holding 'A' Level Certificates will be considered against the standard UCAS tariff for any Undergraduate Degree programme applied for.

Applicants holding the International Baccalaureate with a minimum score of 24 will be considered against the standard UCAS tariff for any Undergraduate Degree programme applied for.

Those holding (Community College Diploma) in a relevant subject may be considered for advanced entry.

English Program Requirements

To apply for all undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, you will need to sit an approved test in English if it is not your first language. This might include achieving IELTS (Academic or UKVI) of 6.0 with no less than 5.5 in any band, depending on your course requirements.

In addition, we accept Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) 72 with minimum band scores of Reading 18, Writing 17, Listening 17, Speaking 20 for Undergraduate (BA, BSc) and most postgraduate degrees.

If you are applying for the International Foundation Diploma in Hospitality and Tourism, you will need UKVI IELTS of 5.0 with no less than 4.5 in any band.

IELTS can be taken from the British Council. Please note that the date of your IELTS award must be within two years of your degree/master’s degree start date.

We also accept the following online tests for entry onto degree-level courses:

TOEFL (iBT) Home – minimum scores as above
Language Cert - a minimum of 'pass' at B2 level
IELTS Indicator - minimum scores as above
