    About

    Accounting professionals are in high demand. Nearly all public, private and nonprofit organizations need accounting support, and there are accounting career opportunities across all industries and sectors. An accountant is a person who keeps or inspects financial records. They're numbers people who excel at organization and detail-oriented work.

    The Accounting Technology program is a fully online two-year associate degree program that prepares students for a career as a paraprofessional in the field of accounting. The program emphasizes financial accounting, computerized accounting information systems, managerial accounting, payroll accounting, generally accepted accounting principles, preparation of financial statements, preparation of individual income taxes and nonprofit accounting.

    Entry Requirements

    Students enrolled in Jordanian national curriculum are asked to report their current subjects on the “Current or Most Recent Year Courses” section of the Common App. Advise your school counselor, headmaster, director, etc. to upload the following documents to the Common App:

    • Transcripts with final Preparatory school results for year 10, coursework and scores for year 11, and as much as is available for year 12 by the application deadline
    • If you have completed secondary school, official copy of the General Secondary Education Certificate (Tawjihi), accompanied by a certified word-for-word English translation

    If the transcript is issued in a language other than English, it must be accompanied by an English translation.

    If you wish to become a professional accountant, CPA, audit or or enter a similar career, you should instead pursue pre-business administration and transition to a bachelor's degree program majoring in accounting.
