    This degree equips you with the technical knowledge and practical skills needed to begin your career as a chartered accountant. Focusing on UK accounting standards in real-world contexts, the course prepares you for a range of finance roles in global business environments.

    You’ll combine academic theory with hands-on application, developing a critical approach to the challenges accountants face in today's business world. You’ll also explore the strategic role of accounting in financial decision-making.

    On successful completion, you’ll be eligible for up to eight ACCA exemptions and additional exemptions from CIMA, helping you fast-track your journey toward becoming a fully qualified accountant. You'll study within a supportive and internationally-focused university community.

    English language requirements

    If English is not your first language, an IELTS score of 6.0 overall with 5.5 in each band (or equivalent) when you start the course is essential.

    English language tuition, delivered by our British Council-accredited Centre for English Language Learning, is available both before and throughout the course if you need it.

    This is a top-up programme only available to students who have undertaken the equivalent of 240 credits at levels 4 and 5.

    We welcome applications from mature students with non-standard qualifications and recognise all other equivalent and international qualifications where the previous professional qualifications or experience are within an accounting and finance role.
