    IF YOU HAVE THE DESIRE AND DRIVE TO BRING CHARACTERS TO LIFE ON STAGE OR SCREEN, THEN THIS DEGREE COULD BE FOR YOU! For the consecutive year, SGS has been voted number 1 for overall degree satisfaction in Bristol! (National Student Survey 2020 and 2021) This degree is taught at the Bristol Institute for Performing Arts (BIPA) at our University Centre WISE (UCWISE). BIPA is situated in the vibrant city of Bristol, which has a long-established history of theatre and innovation in performing arts. The Acting and Touring Theatre degree offers opportunities for students in the practical and academic understanding of performance practice. The programme explores genres, styles, practitioners, and performance techniques from the classics to the modern day, relating each to the contemporary theatre scene. Our emphasis is on learning through practice. With a strong emphasis on devising and touring your own original work, this dynamic degree offers students the opportunity to explore their potential as a theatre professional, with each module based around real-world tasks and scenarios. Students work towards regular assessed performances, with opportunities locally, nationally and internationally. BIPA has two large and fully equipped theatres, along with specialised classrooms ranging from acting rooms to dance studios. The degree has an emphasis on coursework and performances with no formal examinations.
