The Advanced Medical Imaging Technology (AMIT) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) certificate program provides an avenue for post-baccalaureate students who are unable to pursue a second baccalaureate or an advanced degree.
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a technique that uses a magnetic field and radio waves to create detailed images of the organs and tissues within your body. These techniques are used to diagnosis disease and analyze human anatomy.
The program is 12 consecutive months in duration. Through a combination of classroom, online learning, and clinical instruction, students will be taught the specific skills needed for entry-level positions in MRI. You may also choose to study the second modality (Nuclear Medicine Technology) for an additional 12 month curriculum.
Upon completion of the professional curriculum, certificate students are eligible to sit for national board exams, a necessity in nearly all healthcare fields. It is our goal to supply you with the necessary level of training and experience to adequately prepare for these examinations.
