    About

    The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree will provide additional education for advanced practice nurses in advanced diagnostics and practice skills; care of the underserved and increasingly diverse population; leadership, health care advocacy and policy; practice innovation/new models of care; interprofessional practice; and incorporation of emerging care technologies/telehealth.

    • Graduates of the program have become policy leaders, telehealth innovators, change agents, practice owners, and clinical experts
    • Inspires students to achieve their maximum potential by providing the mentorship and skills needed to advance in today's health care climate
    • Program provides a minimum of 560 clinical hours within four practicum courses

    • Transcripts, translations and standardized tests must be official, sealed, stamped by the institution or testing agency and sent directly to the Office of International Admissions at Old Dominion University.
    • Testing authorities may include the Registrar or the Principal/Controller of Examinations.
    • When English is not the language of instruction, academic transcripts are required in both English and one's native language. Certified official translations by a licensed or professional translator must accompany academic documents not written in English. Translations of official documents completed by the student will not be accepted.
