    About

    Learning alongside students from other professions, and from all over the world, the interdisciplinary approach of this course allows you to explore social work issues in relation to your own practice. You will learn the latest, most relevant research methods and undertake highly-influential research in your area of interest. 

    You will learn about ethical issues and dilemmas relating to social work.  You'll have the opportunity to critically engage with the challenges and opportunities of inter-professional collaboration and the role that organisational culture and change plays in the way social work is shaped and delivered.

    This course is ideal if you have been employed in any area of social work, including working with young people, people with disabilities, families, people in poverty, and within the criminal justice system.

    You will be encouraged to share your experience and knowledge with other postgraduate students, both from social work and other professions including teachers, health professionals, and community workers.

    Entry Requirements

    Typically we can consider a Bachelor's degree from a well-ranked institution.

    A score of

    • 75-91% (GPA of 3.0/4.0 or 3.5/5.0) is considered comparable to a UK 2:1 (Upper Second-Class Honours)
    • 63-74% is considered comparable to a UK 2:2 (Lower Second-Class Honours)

    With research now considered an important area of social work, this course is an excellent opportunity to develop your research skills and learn the latest research methods.
