    About

    Aerospace Engineering Rutgers is the only public university in New Jersey to offer an aerospace engineering degree. This new degree will train you in the areas of fluid mechanics, astrodynamics, propulsion, solid mechanics, risk and reliability, avionics, and so much more. From drones to missions to Mars, it’s an exciting time to pursue a career in aerospace engineering. You will have access to labs and facilities, including the Buehler Supersonic Wind Tunnel. Faculty expertise includes advanced research in air-and-water drones, acoustics, dynamics and vibrations, structures, and control systems. The department has relationships with leading aeronautic organizations, including NASA, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, and Sikorsky, and others who select our students as interns and employees.

    Entry Requirements

    • Unofficial copy of high school/secondary school transcript
    • Official TOEFL or IELTS scores (TOEFL iBT 65-78; IELTS 6.0-6.5)

    Students currently studying in the United States are not eligible for the RU-PATH program. If a student is currently studying in a U.S. high school, he/she should for regular admission to a Rutgers degree program.

    English Program Requirements

    Regardless of U.S. residency status, an English proficiency examination is required of all students whose secondary schooling has been outside the U.S. in a country where English is not the principal language. Score reports must be from tests taken within the past two years and submitted directly to us from the testing service.

    Please note: Students who have earned a grade of B or better in a college-level English Composition course at an accredited U.S. college (not a foreign affiliate) are exempt from the English language proficiency requirement. English courses that are designated ESL, non-native, or which require a special support component, or any courses taken outside the US, are not acceptable. Please also note that Rutgers does not accept correspondence or online courses for the language proficiency requirement.
