Whether you already have a clear career path in mind or are still exploring your options, our lecturers, industrial contacts and careers team help you pursue a variety of opportunities within aerospace. We have links with the regional aviation industry and other members within the Aerospace Wales Forum.

Graduates of our Aerospace Engineering degree are in demand in the UK, and the civil and defence sectors worldwide. Some of the companies with which our UK graduates work include Rolls Royce, GE Aviation, MBDA, Airbus, Jaguar Land Rover, BAMC, EasyJet, Emirates, Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl) and the UK Ministry of Defence.

    Careers support

Our staff have deep experience in aerospace, aviation, automotive, and manufacturing. They help you identify your strengths and develop the professional skills desired by employers. The real-world experience provided throughout the course prepares you to enter the industry at a high level after graduation. Also, our careers service offers excellent support, connecting you with the industry and assisting with your CV, job applications, and interviews.

    Industry Partners

We’re proud of our strong links with major engineering companies, some of which are on our doorstep. These include Rolls Royce, GE Aviation, BAMC, and Airbus, Nordam Europe and TES Aviation Group, among others. These links facilitate placement opportunities, field visits to sites and factories, and visits from industry experts. They also feed into our curriculum, meaning everything we teach reflects industry requirements.

We’re also accredited by The Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) and the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE), and these bodies help to shape our course and ensure the highest standards of teaching.

    Sandwich years

A sandwich year enables you to apply the knowledge gained during your degree to real-world work situations. You’ll equip yourself with a transferable skillset and gain invaluable work experience that will help you to stand out to potential employers in future job applications.
