    Agricultural Communication and Leadership

    About

Agriculture drives Nebraska’s economy, providing 1 in 3 jobs across the state. The agricultural communication and leadership degree program taps a growing profession that brings together agricultural, food, and life sciences with a practical understanding of all forms or marketing and public relations communication. You’ll learn the complexity of communicating the science of agriculture in our media-rich world through writing, photography, video, and radio production. You’ll learn how to promote a business and the issues within the industry while gaining an understanding of advertising, promotion, and social media marketing skills that can be applied in an agricultural context, giving you a leg up in this high-demand industry.

    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

High school seniors may apply for admission and send transcripts directly from their high school any time after completion of the sixth semester. A final high school transcript documenting official graduation date from that high school must be submitted prior to the start of the semester for which admission is being sought.

All freshman applicants under the age of 21 are encouraged but not required to submit test scores from either the American College Testing Program (ACT) or the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). The scores are not used in an admission evaluation, but rather to help determine which college courses students should take in their first year.

The ACT/SAT scores may also be used to determine academic scholarship eligibility and/or academic eligibility for intercollegiate athletics to meet NCAA requirements.

    English Program Requirements

Official test scores from one of the following testing agencies: SAT ≥ 900, ACT ≥ 17, TOEFL ≥ 65 (code 6469), IELTS ≥ 6.5, or GED ≥ 145. Please do not submit more than one test.
