    About

    The objective of this program is to provide students with specialized study in water,resources and to signify this specialization by the designation of the water resources interdisciplinary major on the transcript.

    Coursework and Thesis

    Students must complete the 24 credit hour agricultural and applied economics including M.S. core requirements plus 4 thesis hours and 9 credit hours in water resources approved courses.

    Achieve a cumulative 3.000 GPA in the AGEC M.S. core requirements.

    The candidate's graduate committee, nominated by the major professor, the student and the department head determine the final program of study and thesis research topic, which must be in the water resources area.

    Presentation of research results at a formal public seminar.

    Completion of an oral examination covering the student's thesis research administered by the graduate committee.

    Oral Exam Requirement

    In addition to coursework and a Plan A Thesis, students must pass a final oral examination. The student's committee may also require a written examination.

    Entry Requirements

    1. Online Application (a non-refundable application fee of U.S. $50.00 is required)

    2. Provide Certified and Attested Copy of Transcripts

    UW must receive official transcripts (mark sheets, transcripts, exam results, diploma, etc.) for admissions. These documents must be original or certified true copies that are either sent directly from the school(s) in a sealed envelope or from a transcript evaluation agency such as World Education Services (WES) or any other evaluation agency listed as a member on the NACES website. All records should be submitted in the native language and accompanied with an official English translation.

    3. Provide Official Proof of English Proficiency

    The University of Wyoming accepts a variety of English proficiency exams. While the most popular are TOEFL (540 or 76 minimum for iBT), IELTS (6.5 minimum), Duolingo (110), and Cambridge English B2 First, C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency (176 minimum), other accepted exams and ways to satisfy the English Proficiency requirements are available here. Please note that some programs/departments may require higher scores than what is required by the Admissions Office.

    4. Provide Proof of Financial Support

    There is a low $50 USD non-refundable application fee to apply. If this fee is submitted in the form of an international money order or a check, it must be drawn from a U.S. bank, made payable to the UW Admissions Office. Please print your full legal name on your check or money order.
