    About

The subject of Agricultural Science in the Master of Education degree program explores all questions regarding the primary production of food for humans and animals as well as renewable resources. Subdisciplines are crop production, animal science, ecological agriculture as well as economics and social sciences. With Agricultural Science as their Major Professional Discipline, students choose one of three Minor Professional Disciplines: Crop Science (Crop Farming), Animal Science (Animal Breeding) or Agricultural Economics and Social Sciences. By choosing a Minor Professional Discipline, students can specialize in a certain field. Educational sciences and subject didactics are paramount in this degree program, with the latter enabling prospective vocational school teachers to adequately convey their specialist knowledge to students training for relevant professions (e.g. agriculture, forestry, floristry, gardening, horse industry). In teaching degree programs for vocational schools, students combine a Major Professional Discipline with a Minor Professional Discipline. In addition, students are trained in educational sciences. The practical semester is a key component of the degree program. Possible lines of work: Teaching at schools For other possible lines of work, please refer to the Agricultural and Food Economics (MSc), Crop Sciences (MSc) and Animal Sciences (MSc) degree programs.
