This program focuses on understanding the design and operation of equipment and systems in order to maximize their use and management. You will learn how to collect, analyze and manage data through the study of business, agricultural systems and computer technologies, including geographic information systems (GIS).

Much of your education will take place in the computing lab or electric-power lab, where you could design a wireless information system for a farm or calculate the costs and efficiency of different irrigation systems.

Entry Requirements

If you are a freshman or first-year student:

Undergraduate applicants who have no previous work at the post-secondary level must have at least a 2.5 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) from a secondary school. Students must also meet the criteria for admission to university-level study in their home country.

If you are a transfer student:

Undergraduate applicants who have attended a post-secondary institution and have completed at least 14 transferable semester credits at an accredited institution must present a minimum grade point average of 2.0 for all post-secondary work. For admission into the College of Engineering, transfer students must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 2.8. Other departments may have additional requirements. Students who have completed fewer than 14 transferable semester credits (post-secondary) must meet the freshman or first-year student requirements in addition to the transfer student requirements.
