    Agricultural Systems Technology

    About

    Agricultural Systems Technology combines interests in technology, machines, and business to be at the forefront of technological innovation in agriculture, environmental protection and related industries. Students will study digital agricultural systems pertaining to structures, hydraulics, precision agriculture, machinery, electricity, sensors and the Internet of Things to manage agricultural systems.  Agricultural Systems Technology graduates apply science, technology and engineering principles to manage complex agricultural and other production systems.

    Agricultural Systems Technology will prepare graduates for a variety of careers, including: agricultural and power equipment manufacturing, equipment sales and service, food production and processing, precision agriculture technology, and government.

    High School Coursework

    Complete 13 units (one unit = one year in class) of the following core coursework:

    High School Grades

    Your core coursework grades must meet one of the following requirements:

    • GPA of 2.5 or higher on a U.S. 4.0 scale
    • GPA of 3.5 or higher on a U.S. 5.0 scale
    • Average grades of 80 or higher on a 100-point scale
    • Average grades of 8 or higher on a 10-point scale
    • IGCSE scores of C or higher in five or more subjects AND three A-level certificates with a C or higher

    If your high school does not use one of the scales listed above, your grades will be converted to a U.S. 4.0 scale. Scores are determined by the AACRAO International Education Services.

    The difficulty level and grade distribution of your courses are considered when determining your admission status.

    We recommend that you apply six to 12 months before the start of the semester in which you wish to enroll at Mizzou.

    Pre-Application Checklist

    Before starting the application:

    • Check dates and deadlines so you stay on track with the application process.
    • Request that your official high school transcript and official transcripts of any college coursework be sent directly to the Office of International Admissions.
    • Check to see whether your AP, IB or college credits will transfer to Mizzou.
    • If you are submitting your ACT or SAT scores, request that your official scores be sent to Mizzou directly from the ACT or College Board.
