    Overview Wishing to build upon knowledge and experience in alcohol and drug abuse treatment, persons served by these guidelines will seek careers in Alcohol & Drug Abuse (A&D) Services as providers of social and public services in hospitals, social service agencies, employee assistance programs, churches, etc. Some may wish to continue their education in graduate-level programs.InternshipsAll students pursuing the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services program from the University of Memphis will be required to secure an internship as part of their degree requirements. Successful internships provide valuable learning experiences related to coursework and areas of study under the supervision of a faculty member and an employer in the community.     1All students, both freshmen and transfer, must apply online for admission as an undergraduate student.Pay the non-refundable undergraduate application fee of $50.All international applicants must complete the Affidavit of Support Form which can be downloaded from our website.All international transfer applicants must have their international documents evaluated by a US credentialing agency that holds membership with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services. A TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE exam is required of all international students who are from countries where English is not their first language.  All international students must submit a certification of finances document, which establishes the ability to pay for school and support the student while studying at the University.Health records must be provided within 30 days of the first day of classes showing freedom from Tuberculosis.
