    Master of Arts in Ancient Greek and Roman Studies

    Though rooted in the past, classics is a constantly evolving discipline. If you want to deepen your knowledge of the languages, literatures, art, archaeology, religion, philosophy and history of ancient Greece and ancient Rome, consider our exciting master of arts program. You may choose to enhance your studies by doing fieldwork or research in Italy, Israel or Crete.

    In addition to financial aid, we offer merit-based course assistantships to give you hands-on experience as an educator. You'll be well prepared for a career in teaching in any number of disciplines, as well as for pursuit of a doctoral degree.

To avoid any delays, please include our mail stop, MS 084, in the address.

    Statement of goals

    Your statement of goals should:

    • Contain at least 500 words.

    • Address why you are pursuing a graduate degree.

    • Describe how the program outcomes will help you achieve your professional and personal goals.

    • We require one letter of recommendation from a current OR former supervisor, manager or employer who can assess your workplace performance.

    Submitted an application? Your application will be processed immediately. Our admissions committee typically makes admissions decisions within one week of receiving a completed application. Decision letters are emailed and mailed to all applicants.
