Throughout the course you will develop the skills necessary to prepare them for employment in supervisory and management level jobs related to the Animal Care industry, as well as gaining the knowledge to run a small animal related business of your own. The course covers a range and depth of knowledge of the specialist care and welfare requirements of a wide variety of species.

Entry Requirements
Leaving Certificate - Higher Level (Ireland) (first awarded in 2017) - H4, H4
Preferably to include a science subject, Maths or English. If Science is not offered at the Higher level, it is a requirement at Ordinary level (A-C), or equivalent pass in English (for literacy) and in Maths (for numeracy). Minimum of 1 week of work experience in the industry.
A level - DE
Preferably to include a science subject, Maths or English. If Science is not offered at A level, it is a requirement at GCSE level (A-C), or equivalent pass in English (for literacy) and in Maths (for numeracy). Minimum of 1 week of work experience in the industry.
Scottish Higher - CC
Preferably to include a science subject, Maths or English. If Science is not offered at Higher level, it is a requirement at National 5 level (A-C), or equivalent pass in English (for literacy) and in Maths (for numeracy). Minimum of 1 week of work experience in the industry.
