    The largest major at UWRF, animal science is housed in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environmental Sciences. A comprehensive major, animal science encompasses all aspects of domestic animal production, including feeding, breeding, health and management, as well as the processing of food and fiber products derived from animals. As an animal science major, you'll receive a rich educational foundation, rooted in both science-based classroom work and hands-on learning at our lab farms. You'll see firsthand how disciplines such as agricultural business, agricultural engineering and crop science work in tandem with animal science, ultimately preparing you for the challenges of today's animal industries. If you major in animal science, you must choose an option area to focus your studies. Options include: Companion Animal Equine (Horses) Meat Animal Veterinary Technology

    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

    • Composite ACT score of 27 or higher, OR
    • Graduated in the top 10% of high school class, OR
    • Have a cumulative high school GPA of 3.75 or higher

    English Program Requirements

    International students must provide all of the above (personal statement, letters of recommendation, transcript(s), and TOEFL (min. score of 80) or IELTS (min. score of 6.5).
