Our foundation year will prepare you to study at university. Our course is flexible and led by your interests. You can try different arts and media subjects or focus on animation only. This can help you decide what you would like to study when you progress onto a degree.
You'll complete a number of projects in your foundation year. This will develop your creative skills and prepare you to study your degree. You could choose to do an animation project or try another arts and media subject. This includes games art, games design, fine art and more.
All of our foundation year students study together, making you part of a creative community. You'll be supported by our academic team throughout the year.
Once you have successfully completed your foundation year, you can progress onto our Animation BA (Hons) degree. You’ll create animated characters, as well as narratives. You'll develop skills in script writing, character design, storyboarding, animating, editing and sound design.
