About

Sociology and anthropology provide opportunities for students to understand people's motivations, beliefs and actions. These skills are essential for any job. Our majors have achieved success in finance, law, marketing, industry, medicine and academia.

Sociology and Anthropology students are curious about how society and culture work and care deeply about solving social problems to make the world better. Typically, students choose research methodologies that most match their interests, work closely with professors in the classroom and through independent research projects, and push the boundaries of their knowledge through study, travel and community engagement.

Entry Requirements

Submit official results of the TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, or Cambridge English: C1 Advanced or C2 Proficiency exams. W&L does not accept self-reported scores on these exams.
Submit self-reported or official results from the writing section of the SAT or ACT.
Complete an interview with InitialView, Vericant, or Duolingo.
