    WSU's field major in anthropology lets you work toward your bachelor's degree in anthropology while combining studies from three separate departments. You'll benefit from a diverse range of courses, with opportunities for student-faculty research and internships in many different settings--opening doors to a wide variety of career paths.

    Requirements

    Entry Requirements

    • For this option, the SAT or ACT is NOT required for admission.
    • This option is for students who have already graduated from high school (or will soon graduate from high school).
    • Students who have attended another college or university will be considered for transfer admission -- even if they do not want transfer credit from their previous school.
    • Students must submit final high school transcripts.
    • Transcripts or examination results may be sent away for verification. If selected, it may take some time for the verification results to be returned.
    • The TOEFL or IELTS are not required to apply. View English Requirement.
    OR
    • The SAT or ACT is required for this option.
    • This is the best option for students who want admission before completing high school or do not meet the admissions requirements in Option 1.
    • If you have taken the SAT or ACT, you may apply during your final year of high school.
    • SAT results must be sent directly from the College Board. Our institution code is 6884.
    • ACT results must be sent directly from ACT. Our institution code is 1472.
    • For application purposes, you may submit your test scores with your other admission materials for initial review. However, you must still submit your official test scores to us by the end of your first semester at Wichita State University, or you will not be allowed to enroll for subsequent terms. Official score reports must come to us directly from the testing agency.
    • To be considered for admission, you must obtain the required scores as follows:

    English Program Requirements

    • Conditional Admission is available for students who meet our academic requirements for admission. If you receive conditional admission the major listed on your I-20 will be Intensive English. We will note that you also have admission to an academic program on your I-20.
    • You do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score when you apply.
    • You may send your official score later or we will test your English after you arrive.
    • Students who do not meet our English requirement or do not submit an English score will be required to enroll in the Intensive English Language Center.
